The Saudi TV continued on Wednesday its calls for aid and assistance to quake victims, airing several hours programme showing the damage caused by the earthquake as also the relief efforts that are underway including relief rendered by Saudi organisations.

Saudi Ulema have gone live on TV urging the countrymen to contribute to the relief fund for the 'brethren of Pakistan' and for the country close to Saudis' hearts.

Saudi interior minister Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz has disclosed to pressmen that the collections made in the appeal for aid to Pakistan quake victims runs into over three hundred and sixty-five million riyals while several hundred tonnes of relief goods have also been donated.

He was talking to newsmen in Riyadh. The collections will continue here on Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated on Thursday.
